Terms of Service

1. The service

Twiq converts speech in African languages to text. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Twiq.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account. One account per person.

3. Credits & billing

• Twiq uses prepaid credits called MPR. 1 MPR covers 1 minute of audio, deducted per second of audio processed.
• New accounts receive a one-time free MPR allowance.
• MPR top-ups are one-time payments in Nigerian Naira via Paystack — no subscriptions, no recurring charges.
• MPR credits do not expire and remain on your account until used.
• Purchased MPR is non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion.
• We may change the MPR rate with at least 14 days’ notice; already-purchased MPR keeps its value in minutes.

4. Your content

You own your audio and your transcripts. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service — processing your audio to produce transcripts and storing them in your history. You must have the right to any audio you submit; don’t upload content that is illegal or that you have no permission to use.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t abuse the service: no attempts to circumvent plan limits, resell access, probe or disrupt our infrastructure, or use Twiq for unlawful surveillance or any illegal purpose. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Accuracy disclaimer

Transcription is automated and may contain errors, especially with noisy audio or heavy code-switching. Twiq is provided “as is” — review transcripts before relying on them for anything important.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

8. Termination

You can stop using Twiq and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
