Who we are

Twiq (“we”, “us”) is a speech-to-text service for African languages, operated from Nigeria. This policy explains what data we collect when you use twiq-puce.vercel.app and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
  • Audio you submit — recordings and uploaded audio/video files, processed to produce your transcript.
  • Transcripts — the text generated from your audio, saved to your account history so you can access it later.
  • Usage data — how many transcriptions you run each month, your plan, and basic technical logs needed to operate the service.
  • Payment information — payments are handled entirely by Paystack. We never see or store your card details; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.

How your audio is processed

When you transcribe or use Live Translate, your audio is processed by Twiq’s transcription and translation systems to generate your transcript or translation. Audio is processed solely for that purpose. We do not use your audio or transcripts to train AI models, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Where your data lives

Account data and transcripts are stored with Supabase. The app is hosted on Vercel. Transactional emails (confirmation, password reset) are delivered via Resend. Each of these providers processes data only as needed to run Twiq.

Cookies

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can delete individual transcripts from your history at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us and we’ll do it within 30 days. You may also request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Children

Twiq is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update this page and the date above. Continued use of Twiq after changes means you accept the updated policy.
